Gong Aiai is the woman nicknamed "house sister." She was former deputy head of the Shenmu County Rural Commercial Bank, in Yulin City of Northwest China's Shaanxi province. Online whistleblowers revealed that Gong had accumulated more than 20 properties worth an estimated 1 billion yuan ($159 million) in Beijing using fake IDs under the names Gong Aiai and Gong Xianxia. She was later detained. It has been confirmed that she had four hukou, a household registration record that is supposed to be unique for each Chinese citizen, and had bought 41 apartments in Beijing.
